Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to ASEAN Summit as the “central pillar” of the nation’s Act East Policy and added that India fully supports the organization’s prominence and vision on the Indo-Pacific.

PM Modi referred to the twenty-first century as Asia’s century and emphasized the need for everyone to work for a post-Covid international order based on rules. At the ASEAN-India meeting in Jakarta. Modi stated that “the advancement of a free and open Indo-Pacific and elevating the Voice of Global South is in the common interest of all.”

“Our partnership is entering its fourth decade,” he declared in his remarks. India and ASEAN connected by geography and history. We united by common ideals, regional harmony, peace, prosperity, and a conviction that the globe is multipolar.

“The Act East Policy of India is based on ASEAN. India firmly endorses the importance of ASEAN and its vision for the Indo-Pacific. In India’s Indo-Pacific strategy, ASEAN given significant weight. We celebrated the India-ASEAN Friendship Year the previous year and upgraded our alliance to a “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,” the official added.

What PM said in ASEAN Summit?

The Prime Minister said, “Today, even in a climate of global uncertainties. T here is continuous progress in every field in their mutual cooperation.”

“Our relationship’s tenacity and resiliency demonstrated by this. The ASEAN Summit’s theme for this year is “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth.” “Additionally ASEAN is significant because everyone’s voice heard here. ASEAN is the center of growth because the ASEAN region is essential to the advancement of the world,” he remarked.

Certainly This idea, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” or “one earth, one family, one future,” is also the focus of India’s G-20 Presidency, he added.

Asia’s century is the twenty-first century. This century is ours. Building a rule-based post-Covid world order and endeavors by everyone for human welfare required for this, he stated.
