Veteran actor Zeenat Aman has extended support to actor Ranveer Singh as he takes on the role of Don in the third installment of the popular franchise Don. Shah Rukh Khan played the titular role in the first two films.
Don 3 will see Ranveer stepping into the shoes of Shah Rukh, who starred as Don in the remake of the cult 1978 movie Don, starring Amitabh Bachchan in the titular role and Zeenat Aman as the female lead Roma.
Ranveer Singh had recently written a long post about fulfilling his dream of being part of the iconic film Don’s ‘Dynasty’. Zeenat Aman commented on the post, “Congratulations, Ranveer! May you find a ‘jungly bill to your Don?” In one of the popular dialogues of the original film, Don calls Roma ‘junglee bill (wild cat), which was kept intact in the remake of the movie with Priyanka Chopra Jonas playing Roma.
In the emotional post shared by Ranveer Singh, the actor wrote, ”As a child, I fell in love with the movies, and like the rest of us, watching and worshipping Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan – the two G.O.A.Ts of Hindi Cinema. I dreamed of growing up to be like them. They are the very reason I wanted to become an actor and a ‘Hindi film hero.
He added, “I understand what a great responsibility it is to be a part of the ‘Don’ dynasty. I hope the audience gives me a chance and showers me with love, the way they have for numerous characters over the past so many years.
