Saint Ravidas Samarasata Yatra

Saint Ravidas Samarsata Yatra will pass from 53 thousand villages of Madhya Pradesh. This Procession (Yatra) aims to reach 10 to 12 lakh people belonging to scheduled castes of the village. The Yatra starts on 25th July 2023 from Singrauli, Balaghat, Sheopur, Dhar and Neemuch simultaneously.

Opening of Samarsata Yatra

The BJP National Chairman of Scheduled Caste Lal Singh Arya informed about the opening ceremony from the Madhya Pradesh BJP office. As per the information, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will start the Samarsata Yatra in Sheopur, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Singrauli, state culture minister Usha Thakur and Lal Singh Arya in Neemuch, state minister Bhupendra Singh in Balaghat and BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya in Mandav of Dhar district.

Events on Samarsata Yatra

These 5 yatras will pass from 46 districts of the state in 18 days. In the course of the yatra, the participants of Yatra will collect water from the rivers from all the development blocks of the state. They will worship the soil and Paduka of Saint Shiromani Shri Ravidas. There will be an organisation of daily discourse on Saint Ravidas’ life during the yatra in 244 places. In these discourses, national leaders of the BJP party, state leaders and saints will participate and connect to the people through Public Rallies.

On 12th August, all 5 Yatras will merge in Sagar. All the chariots used in Samarsata Yatra will have Kalash, pictures of Saint Ravidas, and his Charan Paduka. Meanwhile, Folders related to the works and messages of Saint Ravidas will be distributed to people of scheduled caste.

Closing of Samarsata Yatra

On the closing date of 12th August 2023, the Saint Ravidas Samarsata Yatra closing ceremony will be organised. Withstanding, Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Saint Ravidas Memorial at Badtuma in Sagar district. This will start the construction of the magnificent temple of Saint Ravidas, worth Rs 100 Cr.
