Prime Minister Narendra Modi and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held “warm and productive” conversations over a free trade deal (FTA) with India, Sunak told UK legislators. The UK PM gave a report to parliament on his most recent trip to New Delhi for the G20 Summit organized by India. The 43-year-old politician spoke before the House of Commons about his and his wife Akshata Murty’s ties to India and their financial interests there.

Rishi Sunak stated, “I had cordial and useful conversations with Prime Minister Modi on enhancing our connection in defense, technology, and a free trade agreement between our nations.

Additionally, he emphasized that while the majority of G20 leaders convened in Delhi, Vladimir Putin was not present.

The British Prime Minister stated on China, “I was categorical with Premier Li that acts which aim to undermine British democracy are utterly unacceptable and will never be permitted. Additionally, I emphasized the UK’s unwavering commitment to upholding human rights, and I made it very clear that stability and international law serve as the cornerstone of stable ties.
