A 16-year-old girl, a student in the class was allegedly molested by a neighbor in Gandhi Nagar. The incident took place around 15 days back but the survivor kept mum out of fear. A-16-year-old girl police said that the survivor’s mother runs a cosmetics shop in Gandhi Nagar. The accused Tariq Khan resides with her mother at her shop, the accused Tariq waylaid Ger on the way and proposed to marry her.
The minor refused after which the accused molested her and fled. The minor was terrified and did not reveal the incident to anybody. She revealed the incident to her family members on Thursday and reported the matter to police.
Furnishing more information on the case an officer went on to say, “Several teams were formed and the raid was conducted in the area, which led to the arrest of the immediate medical attention,” according to the report published. This comes days after a 26-year-old woman in the national capital was allegedly gang-raped. According to the police, the girl, who studies in class 9 at a government school nearby, had gone missing.
She was later found abandoned Gandhi Nagar area. A 16-year-old girl police team rushed her to the hospital where she was given medical assistance. A medical examination was also carried out, the officer said, The girl, however, could not recall the sequence of events and maintained that she had left her house along with a female friend the officer said, adding that police were “waiting for the condition to improve so that she can give exact details.
