Under India’s leadership, the G20 Leaders‘ Summit came to a successful conclusion in Delhi, and the United States hailed it as a “absolute success.” The member nations recognized that the G20 is not the platform for geopolitical and security matters, despite the fact that these challenges can have an impact on the world economy, in the New Delhi Declaration, which reaffirmed the G20 as the foremost forum for international economic cooperation.

What Matthew Miller said on G20?

We certainly feel it was a success, said Matthew Miller, the US State Department’s official spokeswoman, during a press conference on September 11. A sizable organization is the G20. Russia belongs to the G20. China belongs to the G20.

In response to the conflict in Ukraine, the nations declared in a New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration on September 9 that “use or threat of use of nuclear weapons is inadmissible.”

The member nations urged all governments to uphold fundamental tenets of international law. Supporting the multilateral framework that contributes to preserving world peace and stability as well as defending territorial integrity and sovereignty are among these ideals.

“The peaceful resolution of conflicts, efforts to address crises, as well as diplomacy and dialogue, are critical,” the New Delhi Declaration states. We will work together to address the negative effects of the conflict on the world economy, and we welcome any pertinent and positive ideas that promote an all-encompassing solution.

On September 9–10, India hosted the Summit for the first time, making history in the process. There enormous preparations made to highlight India’s rich traditions and strengths. India put a lot of focus on numerous important topics throughout its presidency, such as encouraging inclusive growth, supporting digital innovation, improving climate resilience, and providing fair access to global health care. Brazil will take up the G20 leadership after India, which was previously held by Indonesia.
