Reversing UPI is not a very easy process. A complete procedure has to be followed for this. Also, it will be important to know the policy of your bank and UPI payment platform. Immediate action is required in case of any wrong transaction. Along with it you should also have complete details of transaction id, transaction date and amount.
You can appeal in these cases
You can appeal for UPI reversal in cases like mistaken money transfer, unauthorized or unexpected payment or fraudulent transactions. However, in case of fraud, it is mandatory for BHIM app and NPCI customer to file a report. While appealing, you have to provide the correct amount and necessary details regarding the transaction.
UPI Reversing does not take place in these cases
If the person to whom you sent money through UPI transfer accepts the money, UPI reversal becomes difficult. In case of error, the sooner you contact the UPI service provider, the better.v
