With the Covid-19 pandemic entering a second year, Students in India who are on the cusp of graduation and post-graduation are an unhappy lot. If they began their education on a cheerful note in classrooms, unfortunately, they are looking at winding up their college years alone at home, participating in virtual passing-out functions and staring at an uncertain future riddled with economic challenges

Teachers said that the students who have not turned up to submit their certificates are a big concern for them. “Most of such students are from rural areas. In such a situation, it has become a matter of concern for everyone about such. We are trying to contact such students,” said a teaching faculty without quoting his name.

Another teacher said that several students refused to attend classes after they were asked to submit vaccine certificates. “Even in my are not coming. I have asked the to attend class but they have not made any correspondence so far,” said a professor without quoting his name

College Students across the state were asked to motivate their parents as well as people around them to get the vaccine. The higher education department has issued a notification in this regard. Officials said that students will take them to the nearby vaccine center. For this reason, universities and colleges will now run awareness campaigns on social media platforms.

Higher education officials said that the students who have not administered the second dose of the vaccine, even after the stipulated time has elapsed, will have to get the second dose of the vaccine immediately.
