Indian Cricket Stars Join PM Modi’s ‘Clean India’ Campaign

As many as five Indian cricketers, including Team Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. They will take part in a cleanliness drive on Saturday as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for the ‘Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ campaign for cleanliness.

The Union minister posted, “Jai Hind!,” on social networking platform ‘X’.

Meenakashi Lekhi, an assistant union minister for culture. JP Nadda, the head of the Bharatiya Janata Party, took part in the cleaning campaign in New Delhi.

Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad took part in the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign’s cleaning effort in Patna.

Swachh Bharat is a shared duty, and every effort matters, Modi said in a tweet urging people to participate in the campaign.

Earlier, on the 105th episode of Mann ki Baat, Modi said that a significant event focusing on cleanliness will be held on October 1 at 10 am on Sunday. You should spare some time to participate in this effort for cleaning. You may participate in this initiative to keep public spaces clean on your street, in your neighborhood, at a park, river, lake, or anywhere else.

“We gather on October 1st at 10 AM for an important cleaning drive. Every effort contributes in creating a Swachh Bharat, which is a shared duty. Join this admirable effort to bring about a greener future,” the PM said on X.
