A 62-year-old Ramniwas Kumawat, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and his wife Munni Kumawat were bash to death at their house in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh, police alleged on Saturday. Police guess it may be a case of theft.
Superintendent of police (Ujjain), Sachin Sharma, alleged that the episode came to radiance on Saturday morning. Ex-Sarpanch Ramniwas Kumawat, 62, and his spouse Munni Kumawat,60 were found in a pond of blood at their house. The episode occurred in Piploda village (Ujjain). An SIT is created to investigate the affair.
“Kumawats arrived from Punjab only some days before, and the two partners reside by themselves in Piploda, whereas their son lives in Dewas. On Saturday dawn, Rajesh (Ramniwas’s brother-in-law) stopovers the residence to verify the duo, but no one responded at the gate. He busted the padlock and established the duo lying in a puddle of blood,” Sharma alleged, He added that it may be a case of theft as the residence seemed scoured.
“The blamed also ruined the CCTV before entering the residence but we are examining the CCTV video recording from close by spaces,” he alleged.
Ramniwas was a landowner and grain mercantile. He used to provide loans to several populace in the village. There is a notion that providing loans could be a motive behind assassination.
Police have wedged an FIR under sector 302 (assassination) of IPC. The episode caused a quick response from the Congress. The state division President Jitu Patwari attacked the State Government for expanding offense in the state.
BJP representative Rajneesh Agrawal alleged, “Law and regulation situation in MP is improve than in Congress foremost state. Ujjain’s assassination is an adverse event. It shouldn’t be link with the law and regulation situation. Congress should discontinue to drag politics in the topic”.
