“Further progress will result from the projects that launched today. Together, we must grow Rajasthan into a wealthy and developed state, he stated during his speech. According to him, barely 600 km of Rajasthan’s railway track has been electrified as of 2014, compared to more than 3,700 km in the previous nine years.

A 350-bed trauma center and critical care hospital block at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Jodhpur, as well as seven critical care blocks under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) that will built throughout the state, among the projects the Prime Minister laid the cornerstone for.

More than 350 crore would spent on the development of the center at the AIIMS.

By offering patients multidisciplinary and comprehensive treatment, the institution will implement a holistic approach to the management of trauma and emergency situations, and critical care blocks located throughout Rajasthan will supplement district-level critical care infrastructure.

In addition, PM Modi opened the IIT Jodhpur campus and set the cornerstone for the construction of a state-of-the-art new terminal building at the Jodhpur airport, which would cost Rs 480 crore.

On a 24,000 square meter site, the new terminal building will have the capacity to serve 2,500 people during peak travel times. The 35 lakh passengers it would serve yearly will improve connectivity and increase tourism in the area.
