PM Modi on Sunday afternoon laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 13,500 crore, including in the road and rail sectors, in poll-bound Telangana, and dedicated them to the nation. He also announced the establishment of a central tribal university in Mulugu at a cost of Rs 500 crore.

PM Narendra Modi flagged off the first train service on the new railway line between Jaklair and Krishna and launched a train service between Kacheguda and Raichur, besides inaugurating the four-lane Suryapet-Khammam highway. He also dedicated to the nation the Rs 2,166 crore Hassan-Charlapally LPG pipeline built by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) which will enable an additional 37 lakh consumers to obtain LPG gas.

After arriving in Hyderabad, Prime Minister Modi headed to Palamuru in the state’s Mahbubnagar district to address a public meeting where he received a rousing reception from a huge gathering.

Telangana Chief Minister KCR did not attend PM Modi’s program today in Mahbubnagar. BRS Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav received PM Modi and participated in the official programs.

Prime Minister Modi laid out the foundation stone of key road projects that are part of the Nagpur-Vijayawada Economic Corridor, including the 108 km long four-lane access-controlled greenfield highway from Warangal to Khammam section of NH-163G and the 90 km-long four-lane access controlled greenfield highway from Khammam to Vijayawada section of NH-163G.

The Prime Minister also dedicated 37 km of the Jaklair–Krishna New Railway Line. Built at a cost of more than Rs 500 crore, the new rail line section brings areas of the backward district of Narayanpet for the first time onto the railway map.
