The CEO of OpenAI, the company that developed ChatGPT, Sam Altman, invested in an artificial intelligence (AI) firm that established in Silicon Valley by two teens of Indian descent, Aryan Sharma and Ayush Pathak. This year’s business Induced AI secured $2.3 million in a seed investment round that co-led by Altman. Venture capital firm Peak XV and included “an incredible set of investors.”

According to Sharma on Wednesday. “We let anyone create virtual AI workers that can automate the execution of workflows on a browser in the cloud with human-like reasoning.” Other angel investors include Balaji Srinivasan. A former CTO at Coinbase, Julian Weisser, Tyler Willis, Cory Levy, Nakul Gupta, Ankur Nandwani, Sudarshan Sridharan, Daksh Miglani, Rahul Rai, Sanat Kapur (Dragonfly Capital), Kyler Wang, and Karan Dalal.

Workflows that involve real-time reasoning or dynamic judgement (filtering leads, cross-referencing documents, memory, etc.). Which are challenging and difficult to set up with conventional web automation/RPA, can automated using induced AI. To far, robotic process automation (RPA) software has only been able to automate deterministic, ruleset-based processes for browser tasks.

“Our automated operations operate in a specifically created browser environment for autonomous navigation. All of these functions—web interactions, authentication, logic, and memory—included into the base browser layer, according to Sharma.

The second round of the AI Grant includes Induced AI.
According to the business, “We’re thrilled to have Nat Friedman (former CEO, Github). Daniel Gross (ex-YC and Pioneer) join us as well.”
The business has adopted an infrastructure-centric strategy. Rather than using a conventional browser, “we’ve built a browser that is purpose-built for running automated workflows,” according to the company.
