The event reportedly happened on Thursday afternoon in Jahangirabad, Bhopal, close to Khatlapura Ghat. Kesar Taj (25), according to Station Officer Ajay Tiwari, resides on Jahangirabad’s Chiklod Road. His relatives own a supermarket. Kesar and his older brother Mohammad Faisal used to sit in the grocery store together. Ahmed Taj, Faisal’s only child, was enrolled in KG-2 at a convent school in Jahangirabad at the age of seven. Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, uncle Kesar arrived to the school and picked up his nephew after arranging for his release.

Under the guise of taking her for a stroll rather than returning home, he led her to a tiny pond close to Khatlapura Ghat. He threw the nephew into the pond and dropped him after standing close to the turret for some time. Someone who was there noticed this and alerted the alarm. Kesar also dove into the pond out of fear of being discovered.

Three months ago, the family separated.

Kesar Taj allegedly used to reside with a combined family. He and his family split up as a result of a disagreement about property. Since that time, he and his wife and daughter have been living apart. His wife had lately visited her parents. Kesar alternated between staying at home and visiting his in-laws. He began vomiting at this point since he was under stress mentally. According to rumors, he may have done so in order to teach the family a lesson, but when the community raised an alert, he dived into the water himself for fear of being discovered. No other information on the family has been provided by the authorities. Every possibility is being looked at.
