Haryana Aam Aadmi Party leader, Ashok Tanwar quits to unite Bhartiya Janata Party

On Thursday, Haryana Aam Aadmi Party Election Promotion Commission Chairman Ashok Tanwar quits from the party. He mentions “Arvind Kejriwal’s alliance” with the Indian National Congress and “existing political state of affairs” as the reason behind the quit.

Ashok Tanwar , an ex-Congress leader, joined the AAP in April 2022 after a very little period with the TMC. He is probable to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday.

Tanwar’s demission arrives at a time when the AAP is facing hinders in Haryana, in the accumulation to Lok Sabha elections. The elections are owed in April-May, which will pursue by the Assembly elections, October.

Prior to Tanwar, on December 28, 2023, Nirmal Singh, Nationalized Joint Secretary and his daughter and the Party’s State Vice-President Chitra Sarwara also quits to rejoin the Congress.

The members who were close to Tanwar previously hints that he is “disappoint” and may leave the AAP to unite the ruling BJP party shortly. 

Tanwar’s close connector Jagbir Jognakhera, Kurukshetra AAP District President, previously informed that he himself and some other acquaintances of Tanwar have previously quits from the AAP party.

A previous Congress leader, Tanwar joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in April 2022, in the existence of its head and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Tanwar, is from the Dalit society, and was previously measured to be a growing star amongst youth Congress leaders and was very near one to Rahul Gandhi.

In February 2014, the Congress Management selected Tanwar as the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) leader. His bugbear in the state was ex-CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is presently the Leader of Opponent (LoP) in the Haryana Assemblage.
