After waiting for about a week, the monsoon finally arrived in the national capital on Sunday. Amidst the possibilities of its early arrival, it arrived two days later than the scheduled date. However, this is the fourth consecutive year when the monsoon has arrived in June itself. This time, there is also hope for good rainfall during this monsoon.

The normal date of arrival of the monsoon in Delhi is 27th June. But if we look at the data of 16 years from 2010 till now, monsoon has arrived only seven times in June (2013, 2015, 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023). This is the eighth year that monsoon has arrived in June. It has happened only thrice (in 2013, 2020, and 2023) that it has arrived before time. According to meteorologists, monsoon reaches Delhi only after arriving in central India.

On the other hand, Meteorological Department scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar said that on Sunday, monsoon had covered the entire country, including Delhi NCR. Whereas the normal date for the entire country is July 8. This has happened nine days before normal. Along with this, heavy to very heavy rainfall is also expected in many parts of North-West, Central, East, and Northeast India for the next seven days. The Meteorological Department has also issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall at some places in Jharkhand and Odisha.

According to the Meteorological Department, the entire country is cloudy at this time. Especially the northwestern region. The reason for this is that a low-pressure area has formed, and there are dense clouds. Due to the low-pressure area, the conditions for are favorable. That is why now the whole of India has been covered.
