On the other hand, Iraqi media reported on Monday night that Iran fired six missiles at the US airbase Ain al-As in Iraq, while explosions were also heard in Qatar’s capital, Doha. According to a Reuters report, the air defense of US troops at the Ain al-Asad base in western Iraq was activated after Iran’s missile attack on Monday night.
The closest American base to Iran is in Iraq, but Syria is also not far away. Hasakah province is about 1100 kilometers from Iran. There is no information yet about how much damage has been caused by this attack. But Iran had a strong hold in Syria during the time of Bashar al-Assad, and its proxies are still working there.
