India’s national capital has placed on security alert due to concerns about future protests in the city as the conflict between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas continues, according to police officials. Before the Friday prayers, a sizable contingent of Delhi Police officers would stationed on the city’s streets. Additionally, security has stepped up at the Israel Embassy and Jewish institutions.
According to media sources, the security forces have also warned a few other Indian states and union territories to make sure the Israelis living there protected. The action made in response to an uptick in hostilities between Israel and Hamas, which led various nations, including France, Germany, the US, and the UK, to tighten up security around “potential Jewish targets” and “pro-Palestinian protesters”.
According to them, protection for Israeli diplomats, personnel, and visitors has requested from the state governments of Himachal Pradesh, Goa, and Maharashtra. On the sixth day, the Israeli military said that over 1,300 individuals, including 222 soldiers, had died in Israel. This shocking death toll has not seen since the protracted conflict with Egypt and Syria in 1973.
First flight carrying Indian citizens lands in Israel as part of Operation Ajay
According to the local authorities, 1,417 individuals, including women and children, murdered in the Gaza Strip under the authority of Hamas.
The first charter airplane carrying Indian nationals who had evacuated from Israel returned to India on Friday morning as part of “Operation Ajay.” The aircraft, which was carrying 211 people and a baby from the war-torn area, successfully landed in New Delhi.
After Hamas forces breached Israel’s border barrier and invaded the southern region of the nation through air and sea on October 7, Israel vowed to launch an unprecedented onslaught against the terrorist organization that rules Gaza.
