Sachin Tendulkar recently recovered from COVID-19 and like last year, won’t be celebrating his birthday this year as India fights through the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Former India captain and one of the greatest batsmen in cricket history, Sachin Tendulkar turns 48 today. The Little Master, whose full name is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, was born on this day in 1973 in a Maharashtrian family in Dadar, Mumbai.

Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar turned 48 on Saturday (April 24). And as expected, the wishes started pouring in. While some found it difficult to express ‘Sachin – the feeling’ in words, some others hailed him as the ‘God of Cricket” and the best ever.

Sachin Tendulkar recently recovered from COVID-19 and like last year, won’t be celebrating his birthday looking at the current scenario amid the coronavirus pandemic. Tendulkar had decided not to celebrate his birthday in 2020 as a mark of respect to the frontline workers leading India’s fight against the virus outbreak .

India legend Sachin Tendulkar is celebrating his 48th birthday today (April 24). Known as the Master Blaster, Tendulkar is in Mumbai and will be celebrating the occasion with his family members. In normal circumstances, he would have been with Mumbai Indians (MI) for the ongoing IPL season. But he recently recovered from COVID-19 and is spending time with his family.

One of the greatest batsmen to have graced the game, Tendulkar owns countless batting and other records which he created during his 24-year long international career. The international cricket’s highest run-scorer, Tendulkar also finished his career as the most capped player.
