Prior to his show in Mumbai, Canadian artist Shubh is subject to criticism. Reasons why?

Shubh, a Punjabi artist who lives in Canada, has come under fire from BJYM, the youth wing of the BJP, as well as from the internet.

BJYM wants Shubh’s India performance postponed because they claim the performer backs Khalistani extremists. The states of Punjab and Haryana blacked out on a distorted map of India that Shubh had previously distributed.

As part of the Cruise Control 4.0 event, which to take place on the Cordelia Cruise, Shubh slated to play in Mumbai. Shubh has performances scheduled not just in Mumbai but also in New Delhi and Bengaluru, among other locations. There is no room for this.

The BJYM have asked that his whole India tour canceled.

“Khalistanis, who are adversaries of India’s unity and integrity, have no place here. Shubh, a Canadian singer, will not permitted to play in Mumbai, the blessed city of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. “The organizers have to deal with our opposition if proper action not taken,” BJYM President Tajinder Singh Tiwana reported as saying by the Hindustan Times.

In response to the claims, the Indian business boAt withdrew their sponsorship and posted a post about it. In a portion of their statement, they said, “We decided to withdraw our support from the tour after learning about the comments made by artist Shubh earlier this year. We’ll keep promoting India’s thriving musical culture.

A senior Canadian ambassador recently expelled from India after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed that “agents of the Government of India” involved in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June. The claims have deemed “absurd and motivated” by India.
