In the view of rising COVID-19 cases , the Jharkhand government has announced a lockdown in the state on Tuesday. The lockdown will be from 22 April to 29 April with some exemptions . The government of Jharkhand has ordered that agricultural, construction, industrial, and mining activities will be permitted during the lockdown . During the lockdown , essential services will continue . Religious places will remain open but a gathering of devotees will not be allowed . Last week, the Indian government said it would fast-track emergency approvals for foreign-made COVID-19 vaccines.
