Bachchan Pandey (Akshay Kumar) is a movie that has roles for two actresses. In one, he falls in love with a girl when he is a youngster, and in the other, he falls in love with a girl when he is older and more mature. In the story, a brave and honorable man sacrifices his happiness to protect his younger brothers. After sacrificing his happiness, his brothers cannot get married until he is free. They, therefore, search for him a woman. 

A matchmaker and the elder brother fall in love when they find out the girl with whom he fell in love in his youth has married another person. Following that, Bachchan Pandey saves the father of his fiancée from goons and safeguards her family. His siblings discover he is in love with Kriti Sanon, and Pooja has been approached to play the girl from his past.
