 Actress Sulochana Latkar passes away at the age of 94

Actress Sulochana Latkar, who has been a part of films like Shree 420, Nagin, Ab Dilli Dur Nahin and Mr and Mrs, is no moiré. She breathed her last today, June 4, at a hospital in Mumbai. She was 94 years old.A Sulochana Latkar is no more. The Actress passed away on Sunday, June 4. It is being said that she was hospitalised and was undergoing treatment.

Sulochana’s daughter, Kanchan, just moments before her death, had revealed that the actress was in a critical condition. She told ABP that due to shortness of breath and other age-related ailments, she was admitted to the hospital. On Saturday, June 3.her health deteriorated and she was put on a ventilator with continuous oxygen supply. Unfortunately, she lost the battle of life.

Sulochana started her career in 1940s and went on to feature in over 250 films. Some of Latkar’s notable films are “Sasurvas”, “Vahinichya Bandya”, and “Dhakti Jau” in Marathi and “Aaye Din Bahar Ke.In Bollywood, the actor largely played on-screen mother to lead stars of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s including Sunil Dutt, Dev Anand, Rajesh Khanna, Dilip Kumar, and Amitabh Bachchan.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had promised to bear all the expenses of her treatment and also gave Rs 3 lakh to the hospital for immediate treatment from the Chief Minister’s fund back then.She was hospitalised and was discharged after three weeks.

It is being said that the actress’s funeral will take place on Monday, June 5, at Dadar cremation grounds.

The Actress was 94 years old and breathed her last at Sushrusa Hospital in Dadar, Mumbai. She had some respiratory problems and other age ailments. She passed away on Sunday evening at 6 30pm.
