The Allahabad High Court has rejected the plea of the temple side in the Mathura-based Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute case, in which it was demanded to refer to the ‘Idgah Mosque’ as the ‘disputed structure’ in all future proceedings. This petition was filed by the party and advocate Mahendra Pratap Singh in the case. On May 23, the court had reserved the order. A single bench of Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra gave this decision.

In the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah case, a petition to declare Shahi Idgah as a disputed structure was heard in the Allahabad High Court on Friday. Earlier, the court had reserved the decision in the case on the petition of the Hindu side. Also, the date of July 4 was fixed for the decision. Mahendra Pratap Singh, President of Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nyas, has demanded in the Allahabad High Court that Shahi Idgah be declared a disputed structure, as was done in the Babri Masjid case.
It was also claimed that the Shahi Masjid of Mathura was built by demolishing the original sanctum sanctorum of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. However, the Muslim side opposed this demand of the Hindu side. Along with this, a written objection was also filed in the court. After hearing both sides, the court of Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra reserved the decision on the petition to declare Shahi Idgah as a disputed structure
