Monsoon in MP: The Monsoon Express, which was stuck in Maharashtra for 17 days, has picked up speed. Monsoon entered the state via Burhanpur Khandwa on Monday, a day after the scheduled date of 15 June. Monsoon clouds passed touching Khandwa, Barwani, and Burhanpur. According to the weather department’s forecast in-charge Dr. Divya Surendran.

if everything goes well and the system remains active, then Monsoon Express to cover half the state including Bhopal in the next 5 days and the entire state by 26 June. By Monday morning, 41 mm of rain fell in Khandwa. On the other hand, the capital remained hot and humid with sunshine and partial clouds. This time there are chances of 106% rain in MP.
On the other hand, IMD has predicted that monsoon will cover most parts of the country by the last week of June. IMD said that the air circulation in the Bay of Bengal is creating a low-pressure area, which will speed up the monsoon.
There is a possibility of heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha till June 20, while in Punjab, Eastern Rajasthan, and Haryana on June 22 and in Western Rajasthan on June 16.
