Russia warned against joining Israel’s military action against Iran and said that such a move could prove dangerous and harmful. Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, condemned Israel’s attacks on Iran and appealed to all parties to seek a diplomatic solution.

Russia Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, “We especially want to warn Washington not to intervene militarily in this situation,” news agency AFP reported. She said doing so would be a very dangerous step, which could have completely unexpected and harmful consequences.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping strongly condemned Israel’s air strikes on Iran. Both leaders appealed to all parties to resolve the dispute diplomatically and prevent war. Xi Jinping said, the parties involved in the conflict, especially Israel, should immediately stop attacks so that the situation does not deteriorate further and the war does not spread to other areas, AFP quoted the Chinese news agency as saying.
Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov told reporters that both countries (Russia and China) have the same point of view and both have strongly condemned Israel’s action. Both leaders also agreed that preventing war in West Asia is the biggest priority at the moment. According to Xinhua, Xi Jinping said, ceasefire and stopping attacks are most important. The right way to solve international disputes is dialogue, not weapons.
This conversation between Putin and Jinping took place at a time when the situation in West Asia is deteriorating rapidly. Military clashes between Israel and Iran are constantly increasing. Amidst this tension, on Thursday, Iran retaliated by launching a missile attack on ‘Soroka Hospital’ in southern Israel. This attack is being considered very serious.
