Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, called Israel “frail” and said that the US was “entirely responsible” for the current conflict in Gaza on Friday. He also warned an escalation and stated that the militant organization “prepared for all options” during a speech that broadcast on television. The statements made in Tel Aviv concurrently with discussions between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. As Israel’s forces drew closer to the Gaza Strip, Nasrallah claimed that his militia was conducting an unprecedented cross-border war with them.
“Palestinian strategy and execution alone produced this magnificent, expansive enterprise. In his first speech since the start of the conflict, Nasrallah stated that the operation’s extraordinary secrecy was a major factor in its success. He maintained that Hamas’ choice had been “right, wise, courageous,” and well-timed. In addition, Nasrallah said that Israel was setting itself up for defeat and congratulated the people of Yemen and Iraq for entering the “battle.”
As Israel’s army and Hezbollah, which supported by Iran, continue to exchange fire, worries about a possible spillover in the Middle East gotten worse. Although Nasrallah did not declare outright his full participation in the Israel-Hamas conflict, he did indicate that combat along the Israel-Lebanon border “not limited” to the current level of activity. He cautioned Israel against striking Lebanon and underlined that Hezbollah not deterred by the US warships stationed in the area. We have no restrictions about our Lebanese front. We tell the enemy that it would be the worst mistake of its existence if it were to invade Lebanon or launch a preemptive strike,” Nasrallah stated.
